THE GREEN(wald) HOUSE … (growing rosemary & raising a little wolf)

1 year already!

Rosie turned 1 year old on the 14th - we celebrated the anniversary of the actual birth by taking a family bath at 4:23pm - remembering the exact moment she came into our lives in that very same bathtub.

We had her official birthday party the next day - and we rented a big bounce castle for the kids to play on - and it was a huge hit! We waited until everyone else had left the party before we put Rosie in it - to be safe - and she LOVED it - she kept trying to jump and make herself bounce.

A lot of friends and family came to the party to celebrate- and Rosie had fun playing with all the kids - including her friend M

I made her a healthy, organic cake (from a mix) with applesauce and bananas added - and she had a great time squishing it in her hands and dropping little bits on the floor - I think she might have tasted a bit of it too…

I bought her a really cute party dress with pink and green polka dots - but she kept getting stuck when crawling -so we had to put some bloomers on her and tuck the front of her dress in so she could be mobile once again…

She is getting really close to walking on her own - she barely holds on to one of my fingers and we walk around the house. She also still loves the stairs - and can easily go up and down on her own. She is babbling a lot more and pointing at everything - wanting to know the names of things. She also kind of sings along when I sing to her or one of her toys makes a sing-song noise - she tries to copy it.
She is the most precious thing - and each day she seems more like a little person - and I am so excited each day to see her growing and changing and becoming my little girl.
