7.5 months and Florida fun!
Well, 7 1/2 months seems to be the magical milestone mark for my girl (like my alliteration?) - Rosie FINALLY got a tooth (bottom right front) - and has really started babbling all the time - mostly saying dadadadadada. I think she learned this from her cousin Stephen in Florida- who is almost exactly a month older than her. He was talking and saying DaDa and as soon as we got on the plane to come home - Rosie started babbling…
That is Stephen and his mommy Rochelle (aka Chelliqua). Stephen has the most gorgeous eyes and eyelashes and adorable deep dimples (this photo doesn’t do him justice). We had fun hanging out with my family in Florida for my mom’s birthday (GiGi to the grandkids - stands for Grandma Goddess).
That is GiGi with her lap full of her grandkids (except for Kylie - who was sick and couldn’t join in the fun - we hope to see her next time). I found out that it is virtually impossible to take a picture of 3 kids and have them all smiling (or even facing the same direction) at the same time…the below photo was the best I could do.
We had a nice relaxing time in Florida - it was really great to get away from the cold weather and snow for a few days and walk around barefoot and let the sun hit my skin… we hung out in GiGi’s pool and had a great time…
That is my sister Emily and her daughter Ella (Raphaella) who is 2 (27 months) on the left next to me and Rosie in the pool. Ella and Rosie are going to be the best of buds when they get a little bit older - Ella is so precious - she has the verbal skills of a 3rd grader and already says things like “Rosie is my cousin” and ” Oh - baby Rosie’s so cute!” Rosie feels the same way about her and looks at her with adoration.
Rosie LOVES the water and loved to splash and play - we put a bunch of bathtub toys in the pool for the girls to play with and Rosie grabbed a bath crayon and did her best groucho marx impression…
Of course we went to the beach too - Rosie did her best swimsuit model poses in between tasting the sand and playing in the waves with GiGi and Ella… I swear she looks right at the camera and knows she is having a photo shoot - she hams it up big time!
